The Annual Fund is GLOBE’s largest annual fundraiser. As a public charter school, The GLOBE Academy receives some of its funding from DeKalb County, however charter schools do not receive the same level of funding as traditional public schools. To support the educational excellence we strive for and the continued growth of our school, GLOBE needs your help.
This year’s goal is to raise $250K and have 100% of our families contribute to the fund. Every unrestricted dollar contributed will be used to provide for the outstanding faculty, programs, and improved facilities that directly benefit our students every day.
This year we ask for families to GIVE directly to the fund, GET from our extended families (think grandparents, extended family, neighbors, friends) as part of our fall Fun Run “GLOBE Trot”, and GO attend our January music benefit concert called “GLOBE Rocks”.
GIVE
How much should I give? This year’s suggested tax-deductible donation amount is $400/per child ( about $2 per school day). You may also choose to spread this out as $40 monthly donation for each child for 10 months. That said, we ask that you give a donation that is meaningful to you. The Annual Fund participation rate is important. It is used by foundations and corporations as a barometer to measure the value our community places on educating our own children. In short, the school must be important to us for it to be important to others. Don't forget, your employer may offer a match program. Click here for more info.
