2nd - 6th Grade (Accelerated Language) Admission

In accordance with guidelines set forth by the Georgia Department of Education (SBOE Rule 160-4-9-.05), The GLOBE Academy can accept students for enrollment in 2nd through 5th grade who meet proficiency standards in Spanish, French, or Mandarin Chinese (simplified) through the STAMP language assessment.

Students interested in admission for 2nd through 6th grade (accelerated language) for the 2019-20 school year must first take the STAMP 4SE assessment and meet language proficiency standards before applying. This ensures that your student has enough proficiency in the target language to be successful in our language immersion program.

Below are the required scores for each grade level.

You can read more about the STAMP 4SE test, find a description of the score levels, and take a sample test on the Avant Testing website. The STAMP test is administered at GLOBE by our language immersion coordinator and is free of charge. Results of the STAMP assessment are final and the assessment cannot be repeated for the current school year’s application.

After scores are received, eligible students can apply for admission. Eligible applicants who complete the assessment before February 14 will be included in our lottery. This is highly recommended for students who also have siblings applying for the Kindergarten, 1st or 6th grade lotteries. We will continue to offer the STAMP test and accept applications for 2nd-6th grade (accelerated language) after the lottery. Eligible applicants will be offered admission for the 2019-20 school year on a first-come-first-served basis should space be available.
