Ice Cream Social Kicks Off the School Year

It was our annual back-to-school ice cream social! Excited GLOBE students lined up in anticipation of a sweet, cool treat to cap off the end of the first week of school. The choices were simple but important: chocolate or vanilla, sprinkles or no sprinkles--with a few non-dairy popsicle options as needed.

As volunteer parents and families of the PTCC scooped and scooped, Head of School Christi Elliott-Earby lended a hand to help finish out the portions. Chocolate-smudged faces and sticky fingers showed that this event was a hit with the kids! Chair of the event, Melanie Marks, was thrilled at the event’s success, noting how the social brought together “lots of new families and old.”

For donating and discounting the ice cream for the event, the PTCC and Globe community would like to thank Oak Grove Market (OGM). We would also like to offer special thank yous to Melanie Marks for chairing the event; Class Pac leads Melody Crowley and Chaffraix Rowles for helping; administrators and staff for coming out to support and help at the event; as well as Ruth Corodova, Courtney Beauregard, Rachel Burt, Stacey Subiry, and Jessica LaPointe.

Here’s to another great year at GLOBE!
